I think the A/B schedule is a great change to Logan High but I also think it has its flaws. It is not as beneficial for students who have access to a computer at home. We have 4 classes a day which is fine. They’re all longer than usual, but a lot of the time teachers spend most of the class period teaching and students are given minimal time to work. Classes switch every day so you won't have assignments from one day due the next day. But the schedule isn't as helpful if you are a very busy person. If you are a student who works once you are out of school, you may not have enough time to finish your assignments. If you work throughout the whole week, it would be difficult to finish class work even with the different schedules on different days. You would either not finish your assignments or you would have to stay up very late to finish your assignments, which wouldn't be good. You would finish work, but you would be very sleepy in class, which is the place where you want to be alert and pay attention. One would finish assignments very late and the next day, not paying attention or understanding the lessons the classes, making it even harder to complete assignments. The schedule also has its pros. Having four classes isn't all that bad. There are only four classes a day, which switch every day. You wouldn't be worried about having something to turn in the next day. The longer class periods give more time for longer tests and longer lessons that flow better than the ones being taught in the span of 40 minutes. But the problem with that is again, that teachers do not give enough work time to students and spend more of the class period on their lessons. This results in the students who are busy and or work after school not having enough work time.
