Victoria Stafford Features Editor The Logan High’s Second Clean Air Poster Contest concluded with a prompt awards ceremony in Logan High’s Wonderlab on March 22, 2016. There, twelve entries were recognized, carefully selected by a panel of members of the Logan Environmental Action Force. This year, the poster contest had an overwhelming entry pool with Logan High’s environmental classes and Art Club actively participating. The Logan Environmental Action Force (LEAF) has carried out this project throughout most of the year, hoping to educate students and help engage them in environmental solutions. “Air quality has always been a concern in Utah, and drawing attention to it has been a main priority of LEAF this year,” LEAF Historian Victoria Stafford mentioned. “However, too often students are just told about problems rather than solutions, and how they can facilitate these solutions. Through this project, we hope to create powerful and useful messages for the Cache Valley community and at the same time, give the youth a voice.”
